Ideas let you flesh out your story before you write

Not every idea will turn into a completed script, but we at Script 360 (and most working writers) agree that before you type FADE IN: it is best to have a plan - a firm, fleshed out, concrete plan. Characters, scenes, theme, structure. That is where Script 360 Ideas come into play: A place where you can jot down your ideas, work on them, get feedback from others, and then decide if they are worthy to turn into a script.

When viewing the dashboard, right at the top of the main section are your ideas, laid out in card format:

To open an idea to view it or work on it, simply click anywhere in the idea's card, which will bring up the idea page:

Note the various sections (Logline, Characters, Attachments, etc), which let you jot down any elements you think of which might contribute to your evolving story. With the Logline (and Story Synopsis section not in the idea shown above), you can also add alternates (since story development is an evolving process!), swapping them around at any time.

To add new things to your idea...

Note that at the top right there is an Add button with a plus sign that allows you to add new content to your idea easily:

Select the desired item type from the drop down menu to add to your idea, one thing at a time.

For those sections currently showing on the page, note also that you can add those things quickly using the plus icon just to the right of the section title:

Be sure to explore the Idea page to get a complete idea of all the sections, including the Stage, Status and Type settings at the top, which allow you to see, at a glance, where you stand in terms of developing the idea into a screenplay.
